Lins Rautenbach from the Pit Bull Federation of South Africa says owning a pitbull should be regulated.
This comes after a Port Elizabeth man mauled to death by two Pit Bulls.
Speaking to Ray White on The Midday Report, Rautenbach says the damage that a Pit Bull causes when it gets hold of somebody is too extensive.

With the increase in popularity of these dogs, we are sitting with a problem which is actually a people problem with indiscriminate breeders who are mass breeding these dogs and handing them out like smarties.— Lins Rautenbach, Pit Bull Federation of South Africa
Rautenbach says people must research the breed and breeder beforehand. She warns that people must not buy dogs on Facebook.
