'ANC NWC report on West Premier Supra Mahumapelo's may be half-cocked'

President Cyril Ramaphosa had appointed an inter-ministerial task team to look into issues of governance in the North West.

The task team was established after protests erupted in the province demanding Premier Supra Mahumapelo to resign.

EWN reporter Clement Manyathela says some of the meetings did not happen.

The problem with that process is that some of those meetings didn't sit. Some of them collapsed.

The NWC members who were sent there had to report back to that committee meeting yesterday which was sitting in Cape Town. I think that report was half-cocked then because most of the meetings didn't sit.

Manyathela says the recommendation that came out of that meeting was that the ANC top officials must meet with urgency together with Supra Mahumapelo and discuss what is happening in the province and take a decision that is in the best interest of the people.
