Mduduzi Manana is heard on this audio clip offering domestic worker, Christine Wiro, R100 000 compensation for any humiliation she might have suffered.

This comes after Wiro withdrew the assault charges against him, saying she fears for her life. She alleged that Manana attacked her.

Manana is heard referring to Wiro as uMama in this clip, offering her the money.

Manana, in a statement said the family was trying to extort money from him and that he had only paid her wages for the two weeks she worked.

He added that the family were trying to extort money from him and tarnish his name.

Manana paid a fine after a fine in September last year, after pleading guilty to assaulting three women. He avoided jail time and was ordered to attend anger management courses, among other conditions.
