Political analyst, Prince Mashele, says the crisis facing the ANC with North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo, is not only a governance issue, but a political battle.
Mashele tells Bongani Bingwa that this is a rebellion by the North West provincial structure against national leadership of the ANC who have "totally lost control".
If the ANC do not sort out Supra Mahumapelo and his colleagues, this governance problem will persist. It has spiraled out of control.— Prince Mashele, political analyst
Referring to the political killings in KwaZulu Natal, Mashele said the ANC, post '94, has become an instrument to access personal wealth.
In the North West and in KZN, people see the ANC as a laager to get wealthy. This personal wealth accumulation is the reason for the killings.— Prince Mashele, political analyst
