What does invoking section 100 mean for North West province?

The national government has informed the National Council of Provinces that it wants to invoke section 100 of the Constitution in the North West province.

Many people have been asking, what is section 100 and what does it entail?

Eusebius McKaiser spoke to UWC's Professor Jaap de Visser about what the Constitution says about when and how provinces like the North West can be placed under administration for failing to comply with their constitutional obligations.

In essence, it is a decision by cabinet but obviously, a lot of preparation goes into that.
