Teenagers building a plane to fly from Cape to Cairo

Two dynamic teenagers are embarking on a once in a lifetime project.

Ntando Makwela and Megan Werner plan to build a light aircraft with their team of 20 teens and then fly it from Cape Town in South Africa to Cairo in Egypt.

The duo hopes to inspire millions of people and to they intend to make a TV series about their adventure.

We are going to be stopping in different countries like Namibia, Tanzania and then head to Egypt. The length may seem ambitious but we are going to break it into 6/7 hours so it makes it easier for us to fly.

Ntando Makwela

We are building one plane. We are putting together a group of teenagers and we are building a plane. It will take us about two to three weeks.

Megan Werner
