[WATCH] De Lille maintains SMS must be tested in a disciplinary hearing

Reinstated Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille says she does not want to say anything that may harm the trial.

The mayor was reinstated by the High Court after the Democratic Alliance (DA) rescinded her membership and removed her from her job.

Eusebius McKaiser asked the mayor if she sent an SMS to councilor Xanthea Limberg saying that she wants to keep former city manager Achmat Ebrahim and score him higher.

I'm happy that the SMS has appeared now. It must go to the disciplinary process to be tested.

The SMS was not presented to a full constituted disciplinary committee of the DA. So now that it has come up, it must go there.
