Members of trade union Nehawu have threatened another two day stay away if demands are not met in the North West.

Members of trade union Nehawu have threatened another two-day stay-away.

There have been on-going skirmishes between that local health department and the nurses, doctors and medical health officials who simply say they cant continue working under shocking conditions that they are subjected to.

READ: Nehawu gives North West leadership ultimatum over demands

Nehawu says that if their demands are not met within 24 hours they are going to embark on a stay-away in the province, reports EWN's Masechaba Sefolaro.

And they have said that there were no satisfactory responses to their grievances which they say they have made to the local government here and to national government since 2014. They say they will then call upon other public servants to support the workers at the North West.

Masechaba Sefolaro, EWN Reporter

According to Sefolaro, the union says that the problems within the province came about as a result of maladministration.

Nehawu claims that local government under Supra Mahumapelo has been using outsourcing as an excuse to loot.

Under claims that the government is unable to cater to some of the services they should be providing to the people of the province.

Masechaba Sefolaro, EWN Reporter

They say that there is a lack of development and skilling of workers across departments and there is a refusal to fill funded posts.
