EWN Reporter Monique Mortlock says Van Breda's defence suffered several blows to their case.

Judgment is still underway in the case of Henri Van Breda who has been accused of killing his parents and brother and seriously wounding his sister at the luxurious De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate outside Stellenbosch in the Western Cape on 25 January 2015.

EWN Reporter Monique Mortlock spoke to Ray White on The Midday Report and said Breda's defence suffered several blows to their case.

The first and the big one being security at the De Zalze Estate which essentially formed a basis of much of their argument throughout their case because this obviously speaks to Van Breda's claim that intruders managed to break into the house.

Monique Mortlock, EWN Reporter

And that it was the intruders that were behind the attacks on his family. The judge found that there were no security breach that night at the estate. It was highly improbable that intruders managed to gain access to the estate that night as there were no alarms that went off.
