Interim Prasa board hits the ground running

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa)’s new interim board visited Metrorail facilities in Johannesburg on Monday.

The state-owned enterprise has been faced with a number of problems including maladministration, an ageing infrastructure, vandalism and cable theft.

Joanne Joseph spoke to the chairperson of the interim board at Prasa Khanyisile Kweyama to find out about the tour and how the board plans to remedy the situation.

We are making a commitment to look at the problems and deal with them. We want to be part of the solution to fixing them.
