'ANC lacks policy certainty on land reform'- Political analyst

Political Analyst Kagiso Pooe says the African National Congress (ANC) does not have a clear direction on how to deal with land reform.

This comes after deputy president David Mabuza told parliament that municipal land will be expropriated and President Ramaphosa will appoint a panel to investigate land expropriation.

This is just a lack of policy certainty.

There is no clear mandate as to what is going to be happening and this speaks to the fact that in December, when they were setting down policies, there was no clear internal direction as well.

Pooe says the ANC should have gone to the ground and asked the people what is it they actually want.

He states that when we speak of land there is almost this belief that people are speaking purely about agricultural land.
