Day Two: De Lille vs DA in court

Legal counsel for Cape Town Mayor Patricia De Lille has presented a very strong case so far, calling into question the way De Lille was axed from the Democratic Alliance (DA).

The party's overall argument was challenged by Advocate Dali Mpofu on Monday.

De Lille’s legal team has argued the party has been inconsistent in applying clauses of its constitution to get rid of her.

Speaking to Ray White on The Midday Report, EWN Reporter Kevin Brandt said the mayor's legal team has presented a very strong case.

This morning Advocate Johan De Waal had about half an hour to continue with his argument in court. And he also stated that indeed there was no clear and unequivocal intention to resign in that interview that she had with Eusebius Mckaiser.
