New Prasa CEO responds to DA criticism of his appointment

Newly appointed Prasa CEO Sibusiso Sithole says he is meeting with various stakeholders in order to apprise himself of the current challenges facing the parastatal.

It's early days to underscore the depth of the problems Prasa is actually facing.

Sithole has been appointed to the post for a period of 12 months, but it's not a move that has been welcomed by everyone.

The DA has called the appointment 'unacceptable' given what it says is Sithole's inability to manage his own personal finances.

The board has done checks on my personal finances and everything and that has been okayed.
