Dihlabeng mayor in hot water for calling Ramaphosa 'sell out'

The ANC has instructed that harsh disciplinary action be taken against Dihlabeng Mayor Lindiwe Khambule for calling President Cyril Ramaphosa a "sell out" on social media.

ANC Free State spokesperson Thabo Meeko says the province has received a report that the ANC has adopted a social media policy which states that no member of the ANC should use social media to insult or mobilise against the party.

It is on this background that we are appreciating the issue against the mayor of Dihlabeng who is the leader of the ANC in the province.

The provincial leadership has noted these unfortunate statements, purported to have been posted by Lindiwe and the matter was referred to the ANC provincial to process.
