Bemamu disputes claims that CCMA upheld dismissal of employees at SABC

The Broadcasting, Electronic, Media and Allied Workers Union (Bemawu) has disputed reports that the CCMA has upheld the decision to dismiss 106 employees.

Speaking to Ray White on The Midday Report, spokesperson for the union Hannes du Buisson says this matter has been going on for the last two years.

We saw that there is a report that says the CCMA has upheld those dismissals. That is not true.

Du Buisson says they know that the SABC is still struggling financially and there isn't a good direction at this time.

I think the SABC is still struggling with managers that were appointed in the previous regime that are not competent and not able to run such a big organisation.
