MEC Panyaza Lesufi will today be visiting the family of a learner who was accidentally shot dead by his father at school.

MEC of Education in Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi says they are saddened by the death of a 14-year-old pupil who was mistakenly shot dead by his father.

According to a statement released by the police, the father took his son to an extra evening class at an Ennerdale high school on Tuesday night and waited for him inside his vehicle.

It’s understood that after the lesson the pupil found his father asleep and knocked on the car window, which startled the man and he opened fire.
