Everyone has a story inside of them - Sally Partridge on her latest novel 'Mine'

Cape Town-based novelist Sally Partridge says she has always been passionate about writing.

The young adult author says she's had an active imagination and love for storytelling for as long as she can remember.

Mine is the title of Partridge’s fifth novel for young adults. It tells the story of Finley September and Kayla Murphy, two teens who are in love and trying to make sense of their lives in the Mother City.

Partridge explains that writing about young people inspires so many possibilities.

She reflects her journey as a novelist, her latest book, writing process, and her various literary accolades.

Ever since I was a child, I used to make up stories. I had a huge group of imaginary friends.
