[LISTEN] Looking to start mountain biking? Here is some advice

702 listener Mike wants to take up mountain biking as a hobby and needs a few recommendations on a the best bike to buy on a R20 000 budget.

Azania set out to help him and this is what listeners had to say:

It can start off pretty expensive but if you are a beginner rider, first find out what type of mountain biking you want to do. If you want to do seriously technical stuff then you can look at a 27 and a half or a 29-inch.

What I really recommend is going for a second hand bike, I know Eagle Canyon Cycles has got some really good specials on trading bikes and second hand bikes. If he really takes it to the next level, then the nice thing is he can trade it in and can upgrade the bike from there as well.
