Gender, fluidity, and reality of sex for Generation Z

Generation Z is completely wired up and connected with technology.

Gen Z is the generation that follows after Millennials and refers to people born between 1995 and 2012.

Parents need to be able to understand how this generation engages with sexuality and intimacy, says clinical sexologist Dr Eve.

Dr Eve explains that Gen Z is more literate about sex and accepting of sexual fluidity. She references some research.

According to a study, 48% of young people between 13 and 20 described themselves as “not completely heterosexual.”

56% of those same respondents have connected with someone who uses gender-neutral pronouns, such as “they” and “them.”

If parents want to discuss topics such as sex, porn, pregnancy or HIV, Dr Eve says they must set aside their preconceived ideas when it comes to sexuality.

Dr Eve shares empowering insights about about Gen Z and how they deal with sex.

It would be rare for a Z to not have a friend from the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community.
