DG says 'a boer is a farmer in English' and could refer to farmers of all races
There have been repeated calls for farm attacks to be discussed.
The Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries is hosting a two-day summit to address farm attacks.
Ray White on The Midday Report spoke to Director General of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Mike Mlengana, who has come out against the chant "kill the boer, kill the farmer", saying that farmers are people of all races who are all affected by farm murders.
Mlengana said people need to context the chant and said as much as the chant is emotional, there are ways of working together and solving it.
