The Memeza Community Alarm System has been hailed by some Diepkloof residents , with some elderly people saying they feel much safer.
The system consists of three types of security apparatuses - a loud personal safety alarm and a household community safety alarm.
The system allows for the transmission of a panic signal to police and other pre-programmed numbers in case of an emergency.
