SAA 'fixable' says CEO, and pledges R100k to charity if he can't turn it around

The CEO of beleagured South African Airways has pledged R100 000 of his own money if he cannot turn its fortunes around.

Despite the challenges facing the airline Vuyani Jarana is confident SAA can still be viable.

Critics have said the when SAA stop getting bail outs from government it will either go bankrupt, or begin to run as an actual business.

Jarana says everything rests on planning and action.

Unless you have a very clear strategy and a plan and the will to execute it you will not face the challenges we are facing today.
