SA family hits the road in 1978 camper for epic nomadic year-long adventure

Well-known blogger, Cindy Alfino along with her husband Seth, has set off on a year-long adventure... with three young kids.

She speaks about how she grappled with the decision to up and leave the rat race.

Because they had three kids, two dogs and an old house.

After many discussions, Cindy and Seth decided to go for it, to live the dream.

12 days ago, they packed up three small kids and hit the road in a 1978 camper van called Optimus for a year-long adventure through South Africa, Lesotho and Mozambique.

Afino says they decided to travel the world for the experience.

This is not a glamorous adventure, but it is still an adventure.

Cindy Alfino, blogger and traveler

She adds that every day on their travels is different, some days she is happy they took the decision, but some days are tough.
