[LISTEN] The NPA is being used to maintain white settler colonialism - BLF

Black First Land (BLF) says it supports both Dududzane Zuma and the family of Phumzile Dube - the woman who died after Zuma's Porsche crashed into a taxi she was travelling in, but insists the case has been tainted by Afriforum's involvement.

On Thursday, the former president's son appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court where a scuffle ensued between BLF supporters and Afriforum's CEO Kallie Kriel.

BLF has accused Kriel of 'demonising' the Zuma family and insists that he has no right to speak on black problems.

National spokesperson Lindsay Maasdorp says Duduzane Zuma must face the justice system but the case has been 'tainted' by Afriforum.

We stand with the Dube family, we stand with the Zuma family. We are saying that racist organisations like Afriforum and Kallie Kriel in particular have no right to speak about black problems within black communities.

Lindsay Maasdorp, BLF national spokesperson

Yes Duduzane must face the justice system so that he can be held accountable for the transgressions that he might have made but that process is now being tainted by party's like Afriforum.

Lindsay Maasdorp, BLF national spokesperson

Speaking on the case, Maasdorp says the National Prosecuting Authority(NPA) has been used to attack black leaders.

The NPA has continued to be used politically to attack black leaders in the interest of maintaining white settler colonialism.
