Pratley CEO tempts fate, recreates suspended bulldozer stunt on Friday the 13th

Pratley Group CEO Kim Prately recreates 1985's suspended bulldozer stunt on Friday the 13th, 2018.

I will still gladly bet my life on the quality of our product.

Kim Pratley, Pratley Group

In 1985 Pratley launched its “Wondafix” with an iconic ad that saw CEO Kim Pratley stand underneath a 13-ton bulldozer, hoisted and held aloft by a crane, attached to two plates joined by the unique adhesive.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the Pratley Group recreated the advert, on Friday the 13th nogal!

The proudly South African firm created Pratley Putty in the 1960s, putting the company on the global map and, even, outer space as Nasa used the product on its Ranger Moon Module in 1967.

Pratley Putty has since become a household name all across South Africa, and beyond.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Pratley Group CEO Kim Pratley.

I’m an engineer, so I have a bit of a disdain for superstition.

That bulldozer has been hanging there for seven years…
