[LISTEN] Was the 10th BRICS summit a success?

The 10th BRICS summit is coming to an end on Friday.

Political analyst Sanusha Naidu says the summit was a big success which saw a lot of deals being signed.

However, Naidu says the summit needs to give the country some sort of direction in terms of what is going to be the next phase of BRICS with regards to the global economic and global governance direction.

We saw in the declaration, there are questions around the commitment to a much more transformed global agenda with regards to the international system.

In terms of where the BRICS is together, I think they have managed to put together a lot of their own deals, internal cooperation and so forth.
