#702Unplugged - There's no denying the talent of Donald Moatshe

The past year has been a massive one for Donald Moatshe known to the public as Donald In Denial.

Towards the end of 2016, he finally recorded his long-awaited Red Mic Xperience at the Carnival City, and the DVD was released on February 14th, to critical acclaim.

In May 2017, he released Africa’s first ever Visual Album Something More, containing 10 songs and 10 music videos.

Some of the songs featured megastars like Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Saso of Dream Team and newcomer Floda.

Donald’s journey as a musician began in the North West when he joined the school choir.

Donald's mother is a choirmaster, although he says the days of her teaching him are over.

I think she doesn't coach me anymore because she is overwhelmed with everything. I just think I have made her so proud and I think she looks back to those days she put me in the church choir and realises that actually, it wasn't in vain.
