[WATCH] Did Julius Malema fire a rifle in public or was it a simulation?

Cellphone footage of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Julius Malema firing a rifle in public has emerged and caused a stir on social media.

The party celebrated its 5th anniversary at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.

During the singing and dancing, Malema is seen going to the side of the stage and appears to fire several rounds from the rifle.

According to media reports, EFF spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says it is not a firearm and no real bullets were shot.
