[WATCH] Baby black rhino birth at zoo surprises visitors

Malindi the rare black rhino delivered a baby rhino following a 15-month long pregnancy at Chester Zoo in the UK. And it's a boy!

Visitors to the zoo were given a surprise when they witnessed the birth of the baby black rhino. The birth went smoothly and the delivery only took half an hour.

The zoo's curator Tim Rowlands says within next to no time the little calf was on its feet and running around. It has bonded well with its mom and is feeding regularly.

Only 650 black rhino remain in the wild due to poaching.
