[LISTEN] New SABC and PSL deal suddenly makes commercial sense now?

The SABC initially announced that it was not going to broadcast any football games because it could not reach an agreement with the league.

This meant that thousands of soccer fans were going to miss out on their favourite sport as the games were only going to be broadcast on DStv.

But after the first match, the ministers of Sport and Communication, as well as the PSL and the SABC, announced on Monday night that a way forward had been found.

You could be forgiven for asking, does an SABC in trouble serve any interests?

Does the deal suddenly make commercial sense? What would happen to the millions of football lovers unable to watch their favourite pass time? They likely would get angry and look for someone to blame. Maybe they might even find someone else to vote for. And we can't have that - can we?
