Dr Chun Shing Kwok, of Keele University’s Institute for Science and Technology in Medicine has been involved in groundbreaking research that found too much sleep could be fatal!
He has found that sleeping longer than the recommended seven or eight hours a night has been linked with a higher risk of premature death.
He talks to Pippa Hudson from the UK about his research. They studied over 3 million patients from 74 studies globally, and found we tend to sleep more than the recommended sleep hours.

The further away one is from the recommended sleep period, the greater the risk of cardiovascular and stroke death.
