'Nkosana "Killer" Ximba has always been seen as a protegee of Richard Mdluli'

The appointment of controversial cop Nkosana "Killer" Ximba as security chief to Ekurhuleni Mayor Mzwandile Masina has raised many eyebrows.

Masina has reportedly confirmed the appointment of Ximba.

Ximba was convicted for the murder of Oupa Ramogibe, who was killed in Boksburg in 1999.

Ximba was reportedly transferred to Crime Intelligence in 2008 and he was promoted from constable to colonel in 2010.

It's interesting because Ximba has a long history in the police and he has always been quite allied to Richard Mdluli.
