75 000 pupils from Grade 1- 8 for the 2019 academic year have been placed

Gauteng MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi has given an update on online administration and admissions for Grade 1-8 pupils.

He seemed to be happy that parents have already started accepting that the online system is the future.

EWN reporter Thando Khubeka was at that briefing on Wednesday and says the department has placed nearly 75 000 pupils from Grade 1- 8 for the 2019 academic year.

It is saying that it received nearly 300 000 applications since the online system went live in April. It is now saying that it has 120 000 parents who need to accept their placement offers.
