Business in Africa: South African immigration numbers hit record high

There's been a surge in the number of South African's leaving the country for the UK.

Founder and Principal Advisor at Ambassador Advisory Refilwe Moloto, says there is a lot of information around South Africarising emigration to the United Kingdom.

The UK immigration service saying that South African Immigrants over the past two years have increased by 22%. And that it is set to hit record numbers.

Since 1990, South Africans who have migrated out of South Africa is about close to a million and they go towards specifically the UK, the US and Australia.

What interested me about this was, of course, the nature of who is moving. The reasons that turned out to be cited are political stability and a concern about future opportunities.
