Ebola outbreak spreads in DRC

Health Authorities have confirmed that 41 people have died in the latest Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

Speaking to Clement Manyathela on The Midday Report Africa correspondent Crystal Orderson says it is, in fact, a crisis and the World Health Organisation (WHO) says they are very worried.

What is different compared to your other outbreaks is the location, it is in the northeast of Kibu and it has now spread to Tshimbulu and this where the epicentre where more than 100 rebel groups and they are armed rebel groups and they have been fighting.

She adds that because of where this outbreak is, it makes it difficult for healthcare workers to get to the area.
