Stuurman has cemented himself as a leading light in South Africa’s creative community.

His breakthrough came in 2012 when he was named ELLE’s Style Reporter and he has been on the rise ever since.

Recently, Stuurman announced that he'll be documenting former US President Barack Obama visit to his ancestral land of Alego, Kenya.

Stuurman says that he looks at everything as a collective of moments, and as part of a movement.

He adds that he natured his talent and skill as he got older.

It's a never-ending journey of self-discovery and growth.

Stuurman says that he has created this world that's always inspired him to feel like he's going on the right path.

As a creative, I never knew what I wanted to be, I just had a idea of the space I wanted to be in.
