[LISTEN] 'State institutions were sacrificed to protect individuals within ANC'

The Zondo Commission of Inquiry into the State of Capture got underway in Parktown on Monday.

The commission will look into the alleged involvement in State Capture of the Gupta brothers and former President Jacob Zuma.

It will hear testimonies into allegations of widespread corruption and abuse of power by senior government officials.

It's the conflation of party and State. It's the failure to draw a distinction between the rights and interest of the party and the rights and the interest of the State.
