AfriForum 'proud' of Trump's stance on SA land expropriation, farm killings

Lobby group AfriForum has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s comments about South Africa’s proposed land expropriation without compensation and farm killings.

Trump said on Wednesday he had asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to “closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures” and the apparent 'large-scale' killing of farmers.

Trump’s tweet was a response to a Fox News report on Wednesday that focused on South Africa’s land expropriation without compensation.

AfriForum recently went on a campaign to mobilise international support against the ANC's land policy and raise awareness about alleged farm killings.

AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel says he met with various US politicians, as well as Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson to rally support.

Kriel says he is proud to have the support of the world's most powerful man.

We visited a number of US politicians... as well Tucker Carlson from Fox News, and numerous other people. We are very happy that they have worked and taken the stance to make this part of the public agenda in the US.
