Lesedi La Batho grateful for the Random Acts of Kindness from Dis-Chem and 702
Dis-Chem Foundation is stepping in to assist Lesedi La Batho in Mabopane.
The centre is a Christian faith-based NGO that inspires, empowers and equips the youth through sport, education, skills training and social enterprise development.
They offer the women short courses, in baking, retail and business skills so that they can empower themselves.
Lesedi La Batho Community Centre also has an in-house creche to assist pupils from neighbouring schools, by taking care of their children whilst their complete school.
We have partnered with one college in Pretoria CBD that has taken more than 100 young people that are pursuing different careers.Mondo Mashilo, Chief Operating Officer
We also have a job placement and referral department at the centre where after training the young people, we go negotiate with different companies around us to take them in for jobs.Mondo Mashilo, Chief Operating Officer
