Lesedi La Batho community centre says Dis-Chem and 702's help is a blessing in disguise.

Dis-Chem Foundation is stepping in to assist Lesedi La Batho in Mabopane.

The centre is a Christian faith-based NGO that inspires, empowers and equips the youth through sport, education, skills training and social enterprise development.

They offer the women short courses, in baking, retail and business skills so that they can empower themselves.

Lesedi La Batho Community Centre also has an in-house creche to assist pupils from neighbouring schools, by taking care of their children whilst their complete school.

We have partnered with one college in Pretoria CBD that has taken more than 100 young people that are pursuing different careers.

Mondo Mashilo, Chief Operating Officer

We also have a job placement and referral department at the centre where after training the young people, we go negotiate with different companies around us to take them in for jobs.

Mondo Mashilo, Chief Operating Officer

The random acts of kindness by Dis-Chem for us is really a blessing in disguise. We believe people like these are God sent. We are really grateful.

Mondo Mashilo, Chief Operating Officer
