[LISTEN] The ANC tried to help my sister - Dali Tambo

Dali Tambo, son of Oliver and Adelaide Tambo responded to his sister, Tselane Tambo's accusations that he did not help her after she was hit by stroke in 2014.

Tselane has also accused the ANC, the party that her father once led for dumping her.

Dali says he took care of her sister after her stroke and paid a lot of money for her medical bills because she had no medical aid.

He says it is quite difficult to take care of someone with no medical aid as private healthcare is very expensive in South Africa.

The burden for me is that I tried to do all of that alone. We received occasional help from friends and family but the bulk of it it was just me.

The ANC, when I told them that she needs a place she can call her own, they have tried to help. I just find it unfortunate that my sister is attacking them in that way.

I dont understand her frustrations because our relationship is not that great and I dont have to hear about everyday issues, I just send money.

It's unfortunate that the narrative seems to be that the ANC has done nothing for her because they have given her a free apartment although it is a temporary situation, I believe they are trying to find her a house.

That unfortunately is life. Your expectations may be greater what other people can deliver for you.
