Council CEO Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa explains that both tourism arrivals and business confidence have seen a significant drop.

The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) says the current state of the tourism industry is much worse than predicted.

What we've seen now is that it's much lower than what we anticipated.

Businesses are saying tourism is not doing so well, and we are seeing fewer people coming into the country, and inbound from business and domestic leisure tourism.
