Newzroom Afrika wins MultiChoice news channel bid
Newzroom Afrika is the news 24-hour news channel as announced by Multichoice.
The new channel will be replacing AfroWorld View formely know as ANN7 on channel 405.
MultiChoice CEO of MultiChoice Calvo Mawela announced that the new news channel is 50% women-owned and 100% black-owned.
The channel is owned by two individuals who are not strangers to the media industry. That is Thokozani Nkosi of Eclipse TV and Thabile Ngwato who is recognised as an SABC TV anchor.Masechaba Sefularo, EWN reporter
Although there were no set commitments made or more details given as to how that matter will be dealt with, the channel did say that they would prioritise AfroWorld View employees.Masechaba Sefularo, EWN reporter
