Officials at Kruger National Park are urging visitors to take extra care since discovering a pride of lions north of Satara exhibiting abnormal behaviour.
They've been receiving reports of the pride biting vehicle tyres.
Visitors are being asked to ensure that all windows are closed while driving in the park.
Our thought is that they have lost all fear of men. They have gotten used to all activities that happen around them when people drive close to them.— Ike Phaahla, Communications Officer at the Kruger National Park
The park is issuing an appeal to visitors...
If people witness such behaviour they should take pictures and videos send them to us so that we can identify that particular animal that is behaving abnormally because we don't believe it is the entire pride.— Ike Phaahla, Communications Officer at the Kruger National Park
Phaahla says some of the pride will be collared in order that they can be monitored.
