702 'Pitch the Future with Telkom' wants to encourage listeners with business ideas to take the first step towards making their ideas a reality.
It’s a business incubator concept with a difference – where previous on-air incubator concepts on 702 have focused exclusively on existing businesses, this concept is aimed at start-ups and business ideas.
To enter, go to 702.co.za to fill in the business plan template.
10 finalists will then be chosen based on the strength of their business ideas and profiled live on-air.
Xolani Gwala, standing in for Joanne Joseph, spoke to lead business mentor and MD at SiMODiSA, Matsi Modise, to find out more about the initiative and what you need to know to pitch your idea.

We are looking for technology-based or technology-enabled....it does not have to be an app. As long as you can illustrate your business is scalable.— Matsi Modise, MD at SiMODiSA
It is important that we create platforms like these to nurture ideas because one of them will be that one billion dollar deal that will really disrupt the entire world.— Matsi Modise, MD at SiMODiSA
