[LISTEN] 'Muthambi says Williams used the inquiry for personal attacks'

Former Minister of Communication Faith Muthambi has responded to the testimony given by acting director-general of GCIS, Phumla Williams during the state capture inquiry.

Williams told the Zondo Commission into the state of capture that Muthambi tortured her.

Speaking to Ray White on the Midday report, Eyewitness News reporter Bonga Dlulane says Muthambi's response to Williams is scathing.

She says Phumla Williams essentially used the state capture inquiry and compromised it to air human resources issues that happened years ago that have no place at the inquiry.

She says that the inquiry is an important institution that is looking to find the truth and she is derailing it by these personal attacks.
