CoCT statement on Denel explosion 'reckless', says Metalworkers Union

Liberated Metalworkers Union of South Africa says the City's statement isolates those who are injured and those who lost their lives.

The Liberated Metalworkers Union of South Africa has condemned as 'reckless' the City of Cape Town's claim that the Denel explosion in Macassar on Monday, holds no threat to the general public.

At least 8 people were killed in the blast at the Rheinmetall Denel Munitions facility.

Limusa's Dloze Matooane says the statement by the city disregards the lives of the people who died.

We feel that was a very reckless statement of people who literally do not care.
