Biodegradable plastic bags to help minimise plastic pollution

Plastic pollution is still the biggest environmental concern because it affects the marine life.

Many retailers in South Africa and globally are considering the ban on single-use plastic and replace that with shopping bags that are fully biodegradable.

Andrew Pollock is the man who been instrumental in cleaning up the planet from plastic pollution.

He helped source the resin from Italy so that a local manufacturer could produce different packaging using fully biodegradable and compostable bioplastic resin known as Mater-Bi.

We have numerous factories producing plastic and what they have done is that they have put things in the earth that will never go away and the biggest concern with that is the future generation and how they are going to deal with it.
