Racism and sexual harassment often swept under the rug in companies say callers

Have you ever been affected by institutional racism?

Has your workplace been able to deal with this issue correctly?

Eusebius Mckaiser spoke to listeners on the open line to find out about their experiences.

At my old workplace, I had a lot of girls who would come up to me and told me that there was a particular guy who was harassing them. These cases were reported. We had feminists in that building and people who were in power to implement some kind of change but nothing was done. It was swept under the carpet. Even to this day, the people who were accused are still at that company, those who were abused are still at that company and nothing has been done.

Camagwini

I reported an incident of constant intimidation and threatening because I'm a woman. I reported it to HR and they are currently still dealing with it. I had to write a report on what happened and it actually took so much courage to write it because it seems like you are threatening the other person's job.
