I'm wearing Asics because I burnt the only pair of Nikes I had - Coconut Kelz

Currant Affairs with Coconut Kelz is a new segment on the #WeekendBreakfast, which focuses on the week's biggest stories around the world.

Satirical comedian, Lesego Thlabi channels her inner Coconut Kelz to report back on the state of South Africa, and how the controversial Colin Kaepernick Nike ad made her feel.

Coconut Kelz says that the state of South Africa is bad.

She adds that there's crime everywhere and that's why she wants to move to Australia.

I'm still trying to get my Visa for Australia but apparently you have to be lighter... I don't qualify... I'm black on the outside but I don't feel black on the inside, and that's why my blackness and I clash.

Kelz adds that currently, Nike has been doing some horrible things.

I'm wearing Asics because I burnt the only pair of Nikes I had she says.

Kelz went on to share her views of the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, who's presence in the Nike Ad was the source of the controversy.

He is so disrespectful with his kneeling says Coconut Klez.

The troops don't like kneeling, they hate it she adds.

This is why I say that you ( Phemelo Motene) are a typical 702 black. You are always fighting, you're always trying to do these things and it's disrespectful. Your Nike's are like you're Afro...'
