The African National Congress (ANC) wants the Sunday Times to retract an article about an alleged plot to unseat Cyril Ramaphosa.

This comes after the paper carried an article on Sunday about an alleged meeting by former President Jacob Zuma, ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule, former North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo and two leaders from the Youth and Women's Leagues which apparently took place at a Durban hotel recently.

Speaking to Africa Melane, EWN reporter Clement Manyathela says you are talking about senior leaders of the ANC meeting, thus showing that something was discussed.

The ANC is not answering as to why exactly they didn't address the issue of some of the leaders in that meeting, refuting that, in fact, a meeting was there.
